Suspect fires his semi automatic into crowd with a gun he had just received a permit for 2 weeks ago.

The kicker with a simple google search from 2011:

    Stamford

Dayron Wills, 19, of 300 Tresser Blvd., Stamford, was charged Thursday with possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Re: Why Gun Permits Are Useless

The law was not properly enforced, therefore it is useless? Idiotic.

Where did I mention politics? I didn't. But you are free to chastise Boom for pushing his way toward yet another violation of that particular rule.

I'm trying to help my moderator friends preserve the peace around here.
Boom is not a repeat offender. You are.
    Consider this your first demerit.

No, you are going back to your trolling ways. And here I thought you had decided to play nice. Guess it was too much to hope for that to last.

Boom is one of the worst repeat violators of the no-politics rule. You can certainly make the argument that he did it again with the initial post, though it's a bit of a reach.

My post? Nothing political about it. I'm just pointing out the stupidity of the point he tried to make in his initial post.

The story is in the fact that some guy who got a gun permit 2 weeks ago
decides to test it out by firing into a crowd.

No intention of making a political statement. Of course if red ass 3 milehigh is on duty tonight
his loose application of rule will have this thread locked in no time

Consensus doesn't make for good television, it sure as hell doesn't make for a fun message board.
That doesn't mean you can go around breaking rules.
Just throwing the flag where I see a penalty.

Boom, you know you break the rule constantly. Everybody knows it. So please stop blaming others for your actions.

And to your initial point, I think even you know better. If a law is not enforced properly, that is not a flaw with the law. Hell, nobody is even claiming that tougher gun restrictions that are properly enforced will eliminate gun violence. The argument is that it could be greatly reduced. One story of a guy with a permit shooting people does not come close to what you claimed in the thread title.

Except you intentionally flagged the wrong person.

Laws cannot prevent all crimes, therefore there should be no attempt to stop any.
