    i think fema doled out money for reimbursements for the rita evacuation but they didn't for gustav.

    My parents' house backs onto Dickinson Bayou and my mom is already resigned to the fact that they're going to have water in the house. And, frankly, if that's the worst that happens, I'll be grateful.

    I still can't believe 40 percent of Galveston stayed on the island. It's like...are you STUPID? Get the hell out of there or Darwinism is going to take over and I can't possibly feel sorry for you.

    Earlier, they said traffic was backed up from Houston to Dallas of people trying to get away from the storm.
