The dilemma for the Astros is that obviously they are all glad they got Osuna. They needed him. The proper way to have handled this was to have this jackass very quietly go to those reporters and apologize, saying he was overcome by the excitement of the occasion. Instead, they are going to make this untoward event the story of their World Series. Great going, PR department!!!

Well, he'll probably never rise higher than assistant GM.

This is part of what happens when you raid Wall Street for talent.
Just fire this guy and be done with it.

Imagine being hours away from the World Series and having this be the main topic of discussion surrounding your team. It's amazing, to be honest.

Yeah, that was kind of the problem here.

These are the kinds of statements people give when they're not sorry and don't think they did anything wrong.

Nice job hacking my post to make me look anti-semitic. The reference was to his first name, not his last. But maybe you aren't familiar with Die Hard and the great Harry Ellis - you should check out that movie. It's pretty good.

Yeah, there's a lot to unpack there. Reading it at face value, it sounds like he's sorry he said "fucking" but not sorry about anything else.

    Correct.

I do wish the original SI piece had just been a news story. By making it a commentary - and tying it to systemic issues - the piece had a framing aspect to it, instead of letting readers figure it out on their own.
