I apologize if this is a db. Mods, delete if so.

EDIT: Considering that convention mentioned ended about a week ago, it's gotta be an April Fool's joke.

If more Ewoks are killed in the "re-imagination", I'm onboard.

Not necessarily a bad idea for a reboot of the films. Now I wouldn't go as far as a remake, but using those characters to tell a more adult story would be welcome. It worked for Battlestar Galactica and I have no doubt if the right people tackled this, it could be something great.

I'd rather they just be rewritten.

Wasn't this the idea behind "Zach and Miri Make a Porno?"

Maybe it could be good, but I just don't think it is realistic.

The original Battlestar Galactica didn't have nearly the fan base or the place in pop culture that Star Wars has. Talk about far, far away (couldn't resist). Star Wars fanatics have accepted a lot of crap, but I don't think even the most forgiving could go for a remake or re-imagining of the original movies.

Also, I can't imagine Lucas allowing this without having his own hands in it, and what it would really need to work is to get him completely out of the process.
