I think we say that every time we drive past: why would anybody stop here when you're only another half hour from Vegas?
But, you know, I always forget about those bus tours. That's a good point. Some of those little hotel/casinos are built for the bus crowd.
I took a bus trip to Vegas a long time ago and it was kinda fun since there were 10-12 friends along. We proceeded to get hammered on the way, and kept it going on the way home.
As for raising the table minimum, I don't understand that either. You have 3-4 people playing, they raise the rate and they all leave. So you have a dealer standing there doing nothing.
I'd be the last person to question how a casino does its business. But I just don't get it when you walk around the tables, the $5 or $10 tables are full, the $25 tables have one or two players, the $50 are empty and the $100 have maybe one guy. Dealers are there doing nothing. How does that make sense?

A casino which raises the table limit for a player who's established a beachhead at the table should be torched. Such an individual should be grandfathered.

Best way for the pit crew to handle it is to give a "heads up" -- and announce that a table limit will be raised in, say, thirty minutes. Gives a lower player time to finish his business.
