Honest family economics question....

    People ask us all the time whether we're going to have a second child, and it feels shitty to say, but the answer is, "we have to decide whether we can afford it." It's probably going to be a financial decision. We pay more for daycare than we do for our house. There's no way we could double it. Simply no way. Our best friends, the woman is 40, and they just decided, "we're going to have another child, and we'll figure out how to work it out later." She's 9 months pregnant and her husband just lost his job. They are so screwed.

    On one hand, it sucks to decide on reproducing based on whether you can afford it. On the other hand, I think the world would be better off if more people did.
