This is the definitive proof that I can add the 14th post to a thread which should have been DOA after 2 posts. ;D

Was it a walk-off, walk off or walkoff homerun?

Hey, I was just asking so I can show my editor the overwhelming evidence that he's been spelling it wrong. He is, however, my boss, and I don't want to start a firefight unless I'm right

The SID at my alma mater insists on using "third-straight" instead of "third straight." It pops up on the average of twice every press release, and it's been pissing me off for two years now.

Anybody want to volunteer to send him an E-mail and correct him?

I'd like a ruling of clarification on that one myself. I was asleep that day in hyphen class.

I was asleep EVERY day they provided explanations why something was the way it was. I only learned what was. ;)

And "third-straight" is wrong. That's all I can say. It's incorrect.

You must have the same alma mater as me .... however, my alma mater's SID does it on EVERY reference.

I have two bureau stringers who do it without fail, too. But at least I can harp at them and eventually it'll get fixed at the source.
