Holy crap, SI

    Stumbled over this one in the mag, which I got today. In the Paul Newman obit, it referred to his role in "Slap Shot" at Reggie Donlop.
    You just can't screw up obits.

    Finally sat down last night to read the recent SI mag cover piece by Gary Smith on the Cubs. And this is what I saw:

    "...just four days before his team was going to clinch its first postseason birth in his lifetime..."

    Maybe Smith has one of those hands-off clauses when it comes to editing. ::)

    Also, the movie Winning is cited as being from 1966. It was 1969.
