I always break into the editor's office at night and move my resume to the top of the stack. Hasnt gotten me any jobs yet, but I do have two misdemeanor BnE's so that's something.

Big Circus: The link on the sig goes to my blog, which has my e-mail address on there. (Gah, I'll do anything to drive traffic.) Or you can PM me. Or e-mail me at jnewsom@news-record.com and I'll check with the boss.

Or you can ask Dark Helmet to check.

Here's a suggestion for anyone seeking this job (or any other job on this board):

You do not win points when you cripple the sports editor's work e-mail with your 5MB Adobe Acrobat attachments. The boss likes to be able to reply to the ME's e-mails without having to purge his Outlook inbox.

That is all. Have a great weekend.

Whew, then it's not mine. Nothing but good 'ol fashioned animal porn jpeg Word attachments from me.

What if I send no e-mails and nothing on paper so as not to take up space in the recycle bin, can I have the job then?

Excuse me, but that line's already taken. Kindly come up with one of your own. That is all. [/hoops]

A number of people have used that line and if I want to use it, I will.

Didn't say you couldn't use it. Just said it sucks.

    Use away.

OK, no problem. You have a right to your opinion.

Well, it's just that that line is sort of a matter of board protocol, Tarheel. It's sort of reserved for one of the regulars. Now get me a beer.
