High School coaches blowing you off

    Then you are dealing with a regional editor with his head up his butt. I asked a couple of Patch editors I know and they said it is not something the company has chosen to do, so it must be the regional editor.

    The way you wrote it made it sound like a company-wide thing, and that is just not true.
     
  2. All you folks who can't believe there is a paper with a policy of not talking to players after a loss ...
    I once worked at a shop where we weren't allowed to talk to high school players ... ever.

    Of course, that's the least of the stories I could tell you about that SE.

    I already don't talk to players most nights. But that's just because I'm lazy. But now I'm ahead of the curve!

    Here's the correct phrasing: Talk to me about how your guys didn't shoot the ball well in the second quarter.

    You're correct, and I worded my first post poorly.

    We probably both agree that such a policy sucks.

    My advice to the original poster: Ignore the" policy" once. Quote a kid. Turn in the story. See what happens.
