We've been blessed in our area with solid boys and girls teams over the past several seasons, so us having to worry about prime coverage is no problem. No girl-boy doubleheaders, just JV-varsity per gender.

There are some nights during the season when the girls and boys will switch game nights (girls to Friday, boys to Thursday) just to be PC, which everyone but those with enough power to make up the schedule seem to hate.

Granted, a game for a league title or between state-ranked rivals garners a bit more coverage, but overall we're pretty evenly balanced.

Thankfully I don't have to deal with boy-girl doubleheaders very much. Our area has a strict policy of letting the boys play on Tuesday and Friday nights, while the girls play Monday, some Wednesdays and Thursday. Saturday is usually a mix of boys and girls games.

Our coverage is extremely fair. There is no difference in the amount of girls and boys art or gamers we provide.

We cover a lot of girls sports. How many papers have a high school volleyball writer?

We do ... but volleyball's a fall and spring weekday sport, so there's some room for it.
