High school basketball coach whips players

I was at that news conference in Albequerque when he actually brought the whip to the podium, with a cup of water (he dipped the tip into the water and said it created a bit more of a sting at impact).

Issue all the political correctness stuff you want, but that was entertainment.

It also was a few days after Knight and IU beat LSU in Shaq's final college game. In the post-game presser, someone asked Knight to comment on the play of Shaq (who had something like 36 points, 24 bounds, 12 blocks). Knight responds: "which one was he."

Writer says, "the big one."

Knight says, "he's good."

Writer says, "can you elaborate?"

Knight says, "he's very good."

 

Drill instructors in the military aren't allowed to do this. I see no reason why coaches should be.

I guess now we know what happens when you run the picket fence and get caught watching the paint dry.

 

Or else the coach hide-straps your ass to a pine rail and sends you up the Monon Line.
