High School Athletic Associations question

I don't think anyone has chimed in from New York yet, but I'll tell you that there is a Catholic High School Athletic Association in the state, but there are many private schools (Catholic schools included) that do play in the Public High School Athletic Associations.

And they play straight up too. If enrollment puts a school at a B enrollment, they'll play B public schools although there are public school coaches who would like to change that.

Ohio also permits private and public schools playing for the same titles. Also straight up.
In a lot of instances, it probably doesn't matter, but I can think of at least one small Catholic school with a lot of success that leads some people to suggest that they bought a couple state titles.
