    Not at all.

    I merely strive for accuracy.

Eh. Just say no. End of story. No need to make a big deal of it. Don't know why someone would even post a blog about it.

The Atlantic ain't Bleacher Report, Mark. So when they start acting like Bleacher Report, it's worth a blog post at least.

This stance perhaps explains The Atlantic's move toward Slate-ish "Why Everybody Is Wrong And What They Think Is Good Is Really Bullshit And What They Think Is Bad Is Really Totally Awesome" pieces.

Jones has been ranting about this on twitter, and he's absolutely right.

Oh, sorry, I guess I assumed it was obvious.

He was very pleased with Nate Thayer, and was disgusted with the Atlantic.

When I pitch stories to places I am often told, "We have no freelance money." They usually don't have the nerve to ask for the story anyway.

    "I don't believe that's really $200."

    "Well, I can get it."

"You can get it? OK. Get it."

I'm surprised more people weren't struck by this. "So sorry I can't pay you our standard $100."
