Using MMA Weekly’s top ten rankings as a source….

The average age of the top ten heavyweights is thirty-two years. If you remove forty-six year old Randy Couture from that list the average of the other nine is twenty-seven.

The average age of the top ten Light Heavyweights is twenty-nine.

The top ten middleweights have an average age of thirty-two.

The top ten welterweights have an average age of twenty-six.

The top ten lightweights have an average age of twenty-eight and a half.

The featherweights have an average age of thirty.

The bantamweights have an average age of twenty-seven.

Herschel is built like a brick shit house. He won't be getting his ass kicked.

Amen. But I can't imagine him doing this were it not for needing the money.

He's been out of the spotlight forever.

What's the old expression? Not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog.

I have seen many people built like brick shithouses knocked out, both in a sanctioned sporting event and in a bar.

Consider Kimbo Slice. Built like a brick shithouse. His supposed only street fight loss was to a pudgy looking cop from Mass. He was also knocked out in an MMA fight by someone who looked far less physically imposing than he did.

    Fighting ability > muscle mass

    Dana White doesn't like it.

Let's see. He's done football. He tried bobsledding. Now MMA. Is Herschel going to try curling next?

Most people in MMA are built like that, but someone's getting their ass kicked every night. This post makes no sense.

His MMA debut is now set for January 30, 2010.

Today, Josh Koscheck took this photograph of Herschel and Cain Velasquez and posted it on his Twitter. So, it seems Herschel is actually serious and still training at AKA.

I wouldn't think Herschel is completely broke. He is the spokesperson for a regional fast food chain that comes on all the time during SEC football. I'd imagine that would at least keep him out of the poor house.

Can't win unless he trains with "The Glaze".

Wasn't Herschel known for avoiding contact in the NFL?

    He's not broke.
Don't know about training with the Glaze but Herschel didn't shy from getting hit and he wasn't shy about hitting folks either.
