And with four years of Herm's coaching, they'll still suck

After seeing Herm's 5 years with the Jets I would tell the Chiefs to cut their losses now. Herm plays to lose.

Problem is, LJ is coming off a serious leg injury and we really don't know how good he is.

Also, running backs are practically a dime a dozen.

But there was a press conference. He screamed about playing to win the game. Are you saying that it was just an act?

    simon,

Oh, i know. The bears are also stupid and currently holding the most injury-prone, pathetic running back in the NFL. They'd trade for LJ if LJ got a clean bill of health.

Don't get me wrong; LJ's a top-five back if he's healthy. He's just not a top five back in KC.

I will echo the overwhelmingly obvious point that Carl Peterson is to blame here. Not Herm Edwards.

Carl Peterson is in year 18 or 19 as the Chiefs' general manager. In this parity-soaked league, the mighty Chiefs' last playoff victory was against the Houston Oilers. The now-defunct Houston Oilers.

    15 fucking years ago.

Maybe he is given that he hired Herm. As Jet fans we watched Herm for 5 years. His decision to bring in Dick Curl as QB coach was all I needed to see to know that the Chiefs will suck. Curl was clock management specialist with the Jets that blew a bunch of games at end.

That's a giant pile of fucking dung even by the "standards" of Whitless.

Herm HAS had his own guy. three times now. Testaverde, Pennington and Croyle. You can even throw Huard in there, since he got the Chiefs to the playoffs last year. Catch a break at quarterback? Give me a fucking break.

Then he mentions a bunch of offensive gurus, as if Herm could ever fucking develop a QB.

Herm's been an NFL coach seven years, and he's regressed every single year. Belichick and Dungy had their issues in Cleveland and Tampa, but they took dogass teams to the playoffs before getting fired. Herm inherited a playoff-caliber team in NY and presided over its slow demise.

Whitless promises to work the corners but all he does is kiss ass. Easier to keep knocking Peterson than to realize Herm will never, not in a hundred years, lead the Chiefs anywhere but the toilet.

Whitless is a giant fucking fraud. But then we all knew that.

Disagree that Whitlock is a fraud but when it comes to Edwards he has lost his objectivity for whatever reason.

Holy shit, Paul Hackett's name is coming up again, for offensive coordinator?

    Of an NFL team?
