    Hollywood must really be hurting.

    I doubt that very much.

I'd actually prefer "F Troop," but I can't see them making it without totally offending every Native American in the country.

They can always hire Italians to play the Native Americans.

    You know, like ... again.

That would be like not hiring a Native American to play Tonto in a major studio production of 'The Lone Ranger.'
    Just couldn't happen these days.

Does Cloris Leachman come in as Granny when Betty Jo has a baby down the road at Petticoat Junction?

Speaking of, has there ever been a more successful three-series crossover than that?

That's a good call. Don't think there has been a better three series crossover.
Some good 2's like Andy Griffith and Gomer Pyle but can't think of any other
    3's.

Considering the people who were fans of this show when it was on are now in their 70s and the people who make up the bulk of the movie-going audience (13-20) would probably think it's about pot....hell - of course it will be made. But they'll switch it up and make the woman the farmer and the husband the city slicker who is just looking for a place with a good cappuccino.

Love American Style to Happy Days to Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy and Joannie Loves Chachi

Of course L&S and M&M were only on Happy days once.

The Jeffersons were in on that mix, too.

He's not talking about shows that spawned a lot of spinoffs, he's talking about crossover episodes, like when the Homicide detectives from Baltimore go to New York to work on a Law & Order case. It's rare to see an episode involve characters from three shows, but Green Acres, Petticoat Junction and the Beverly Hillbillies did it.
