Help. My tap water smells like egg farts

What you are smelling is probably hydrogen sulfide which is a gas that is soluble in water to a degree. You probably have sulfur in the form of metal sulfides in your well water and then some source of a weak acid entering the aquifer. That gives you the reaction that will expel small amounts of hydrogen sulfide from the water into the air which you can smell. By the way, no matter how bad it smells, there isn't much hydrogen sulfide in the air; it is a substance that can be detected by your nose in very small quantities.

Best remedy: A water filtration system added to the water supply plumbing.

THe only thing I know is that it stinks. Driving by fields that are watered with sulphur water is a bad time.
