Help me pick an MLS team

There are many, many, did I say many?, reasons in this thread alone that soccer will not make it to mainstream in the states.

 

So it's settled.

Well, if you want to root for the best team, it's Houston. It won it last year and is a very solid club. And its orange jerseys are kind of cool, too.

 

I'm still waiting for the MLS to sell the real replica kits. I want a TFC shirt, but not without the BMO logo. The only shirt you can find that are true replicas are the new Gals kits. Its pretty frustrating.

So we still need:
Salt Lake - Xango
Toronto - Bank of Montreal
Chivas USA - that paint company
Houtson - Amigo Energy (apparently these will be for sale in early 08)

 

I think you should root for Newcastle United, winners of last year's EPL and a runner-up this year. We just won the ECC with a thrilling 2-0 victory over Juventus.

Oh, you're not talking about my FIFA 2006 dynasty. I'm sorry.

That's one of the reasons for Newcastle United's black and white stripes. All the Newcastle Brown Ale that's ingested by the natives.

 

Toronto may have been eliminated from the poll.
They don't have hats to sell. What is that, some sort of Canuckistani thing?

 

That's very suprising. By the way, I like the look of quite a few of those beanies.

 

Don't let that loss to a USL club discourage you from the Chicago Fire.

 

Forget MLS, go with English soccer. And if you do, might I suggest my boys ...
