    Kim made more than $1 million last year and more than $2.5 million in 2010. I just hope he didn't go to the NBA school of daily finance.

    Jason Day looked strong at both Augusta and the U.S. Open last year ... and then not so much at the British and PGA championship. I don't even think he made the cut at the latter.

    Has he been scuffling lately? Or just spending a lot more time in the company of Mrs. Day (understandable!)

    Seeing Mickelson's reaction to being in the last group, the only thing that would have been better is if Rees Jones had been walking by Phil when he got this news.

    In 2002, the last Masters I covered, Phil was also in the last group or close to it on Thursday. I remember him practicing putting in the dusk after his round.
