A woman in our creative services department buys Paczkis for everyone every year. This time I opted for the raspberry glazed... Mmmmmmmm.

Hey Oscar ... three great things about this post:

    1. Like you (and Emo Phillips), I too have enjoyed fried dough from the Busy Bee in D.G. Was back in town recently and glad to see that, unlike the rest of the downtown, the Busy Bee hasn't become some yuppy boutique.

    2. You are correct. Better food and (especially) better baseball are found on the South Side.

    3. Cool pic of Oscar G. Somewhere I've got some other good 1970s cards ... if I wasn't such a luddite, I'd scan in a vintage pic of Dick Allen or Chet Lemon for this site.

    Keep rockin' the suburbs, bro.

Maybe Johnny_D can tell us where to get good paczkis in his neighborhood. [/crossthread]

It's pronounced punch-key. It's Polish. And they are delicious.
