Baron, both of my parents made it into their early '90s, so don't be too sure about your forecast. People live longer now (I approve!).

I enjoy Anderson Cooper's nightly news show. I can't say I'm a fan of the NYE show.

Just finished my last shift of the year at the store and, agreed, it's amateur hour. The need for Nyquil may outweigh the need for seeing in the new year in my time zone.

Next year? Waiting to see what happens early, since a strike is a possibility. After that, we'll see.

    Happy New Year all.

Just did a 10.5-hour drive from the Eastern Sierra to the Western Slope through some country I mostly haven't gone through before.

    Happy New Year, all.

Watching Andy Cohen get Anderson Cooper drunk was pretty funny.

As a southern boy, I live by one simple credo:
You can't ever have too many fireworks or Christmas lights.

That having been said, I like July 4th fireworks better than New Year's.

    Happy New Year.

All I want is to still have a roof over my head when it's over.

Waiting for the ball to drop in the Central time zone and watching Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, and that greatest hits performance by Usher was the most boring eight-minute performance on TV ever.
