HAPPY NEW YEAR! ('12/'13 edition)

    didnt see if this had been started yet so figured to be the first! i'm euphoric -- hospitalized since xmas day with some sort of urinary infection. now home being treated by nuclear anti-biotics.

    i only wanted to be home for new year's, so mission accomplished!! GREAT TO BE HERE!!

    to quote pete townsend, the kids are alright. thanks for asking -- eldest graduate in may and has a respectable job; middle guy is a soph at cornell; and the youngest is anxiously waiting for the acceptances to roll in so he'll know where the next four years of his life will be lived. they're good boys who make mrs. shockey and i very proud every day. just wish my health wasnt such a hardship on them. they deserve better...

    Had a kid, made some new friends, kept (most) of the old ones, made the most money I've ever made in my life, the 49ers are good again, got a new place, sold the old one....did I mention we had a kid? He's awesome. You should see.
