I pretty much started this thread because I wanted an excuse to post this, but happy Father’s Day anyway, y’all.

Thanks - just had a video call with kids/grandkids, they sent me some very cool walking shoes. I love being a dad and a granddad.

Thank you. Got a coffee mug depicting scenes from his new hometown, and a wonderful note from Micro Jr. Facetiming later today. Being a dad is the best thing I've ever done.

Played video games with my kids, went over to my parents to help them out with a chore, then went in their pool with my oldest. We all came back to my house, where my wife made a steak and lobster tail dinner.

    A really good day.

My (Just barely) 11-year old son and I went on an early morning walk and sprinted the last 1/4 mile. My 14-year old daughter and I watched two episodes of Jeopardy and went head to head. The old man is still undefeated.

    That's great.

My daughter went another route with my Father's Day Card. Unlike her father, she has artistic skill. For my birthday, I got a card with drawings of Toddler Yoda from The Mandalorian and Baby Groot. For Father's Day, she went with Darth Vader as a nod to my love of Star Wars and because she knows what vader means.

I shared the picture with a buddy of mine as we texted to wish one another a Happy Father's Day. His response was, "That's very well done. Unless it's a commen t on your parenting style, at which point you may want to reconsider your methods."

I told him that in Darth Vader's defense, he only tortured his daughter before he knew she was his daughter.

Happy Vader's Day to the fathers of SJ.com.

    :)
