Halftime as antiwar forum?

    The song in question was "The Old Man Down the Road" - allegedly a ripoff of CCR's "Run Through the Jungle".

    I think the NFL got past the old rah-rah attitude for musicians - they let Green Day perform at Opening Night in Foxboro last year and the Superdome reopening this year. And Sheryl Crow did Thanksgiving in Dallas last year. Tagliabue was probably a closet liberal - he supposedly has a gay son, which might be responsible.
    That said, a Detroit-themed act for halftime would've been cool, say, the White Stripes.
    What did KC have for the anthem and halftime last night?

    KC had ... wait for it ... Fogerty. That's right. Hopped a plane and played KC, too. Not sure about the anthem. Fast forwarded through it this morning.
