    can D3 schools get probation? mumme gets this job and it's only a matter of time.

    Interesting question since no scholarships exist for the NCAA to take away. I guess double-secret probation?

    D-III is so far off the map, and so many D-III schools are athletically uninclined, that discipline in their ranks is probably extremely rare. But the question you pose is interesting.

    Yes they can. The NCAA can't take away scholarships but they can ban schools from postseason competition, cut the number of games a team can play, cut coaches, etc.

    In theory a DIII school could get the "death penalty" if the infractions committee felt it was appropriate.
