haiku help

    anyone remember the family ties haiku?

    no, but I remember the argument over whether "smile" is a one- or two-syllable word.

    dictionary says one, but I argue two. Of course, if I was right, that would make the haiku invalid.

    In the South, it's two.

    Everywhere else, it's one.

    Smile is one syllable, I don't care what Khartoum the haiku laureate says.

    I actually found it when I was moving. Forgot I had printed it out. I'll look for it tonight or tomorrow. It made me laugh until I cried all over again.

    I remember the last line was Sharing laughter, love.
    And there was a rhetorical question posed in Line 2.
    maybe someone can glean something from that?
