Outside of the abject stupidity -- if you haven't noticed, the war in Afghanistan is being conducted between our "ragheads" and the other "ragheads" -- the answer to your first question is that my initial reaction was, "Gee, I wonder if this is one of those Stingers we left lying around and, if it is, Charlie Wilson's War is going to seem a lot less funny." (That was when we armed the "ragheads" so they'd bleed the USSR.) Then, I presumed it was an accident, which is more likely.
