This is random, but here are some awful lyrics from a famous song. Do you know it? And can you top it for badness?

Spring was never waiting for us, girl
    It ran one step ahead
As we followed in the dance
Between the parted pages and were pressed
    In love's hot, fevered iron
Like a striped pair of pants

MacArthur Park.. hell, that was easy.
And it's stripe-ed, if you listen to Richard Harris instead of Donna Summer.

Can't be MacArthur Park or else you would have used the cake melting in the park verse.

(Edit: I was typing this response as Slappy was posting)

Cake melting would have been too easy...

    Yes, it's MacArthur Park.

And on Jimmy Webb's (very good) album "Ten Easy Pieces," where he plays his own hits on piano, he sings "stripe-ed" too.

    How about these awful lyrics:

I used to be cruel to my woman
I beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved
Man I was mean but I'm changing my scene
And I'm doing the best that I can

Yes! Gotta love the wife beating theme. It's OK now, I stopped!
