Griffey hobbles out of game

I swear Ken Griffey will miss his Hall of Fame induction because of a strained hammy or some other ache. The ChiSox fans must already be shaking their heads about that trade.


KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Ken Griffey Jr. left the Chicago White Sox game against Kansas City in the sixth inning Saturday with what the club said was heat-related cramping in his right leg.

A spokesman said Griffey, playing his second game for the White Sox after coming over in a trade with Cincinnati, would be day to day.

 

Naw, this White Sox fan is still okay with the deal. The Heat index in K.C. was 109, the Sox were down five runs and Kyle Davies also left after feeling dizzy. It happens.

That's not to say Junior won't limp off soon, but I was okay with it today.

 

I didn't see the game, but if it was actually heat-related cramping, who cares?
