Gregg Doyel sucks

Is there any columnist in America, on the national scene, who is worse than Gregg Doyel?

Not that Dennis Dodd is much better, but Gregg Doyel is truly abominable.

Anyone else think so?

And who gets your vote for the worst columnist in America?

Gregg Doyel deserves, and wins, the Heywood Jablome Award.

There's a reason Mr. Doyel is writing for an online site, and not for a major -- or minor -- newspaper. He sucks that bad.

Not sure I'd say Doyel's "stuck" writing on the Internet. SportsLine's a pretty good gig. It's not the Hungry Horse News or the Maryland Gazette by any stretch.

And I think you're way off on Dodd, but that's just me.

 

Someone with barely 10 posts with a fanboy site name says someone who writes at a major Web site "sucks"?

 

Add to that that said poster would rather read a blog and they become irrelevant to me. I like blogs, but I'd still rather read established writers.

Looking at this jackass's posts, it seems as though his only mission here is to rip pretty much every columnist in the country.

In the span of 15 posts, he's taken shots at Doyel, Dodd and Bianchi.

Something tells me hawkeyes4ever is a little bitter. Or a troll. Or both.

I am guessing he is a Republican. Plus he is a hater and a troll. Or he is one of these columnists and is getting us to sway toward one or the other. Either way, he is a jackass.

I'm no defender of Doyel, but he had a pretty good gig at the Charlotte Observer when he left on his own to go to cbssportsline.com. He'd definitely not "stuck" writing on the Internet.
