Greatest movie actor ever

To go off of the idea that comic actors don't get mentioned enough in discussions like this, I'll throw Gene Wilder out there.

 

I love Michael Shannon.

He was amazing in Take Shelter. I thought that was a really underrated film, also featuring a great Jessica Chastain.

 

I'd put Philip Seymour Hoffman on the list today.

Dustin Hoffman and Paul Newman are at the top of my list.

 

I like Dick Whitman's list, but I can't agree with the Brad Pitt inclusion.

Although, it must take some acting chops to stay in a relationship with Junkie Mother Goose, but still...

 

Robert Downey, Jr. should be somewhere on these lists, too.

 

If he makes it then Bruce Willis has to be on there too.

Since we are in laundry list time I would seriously add Billy Bob Thorton as well.

 

Kevin Spacey deserves a nomination at least.

 

OK. Why Bruce Willis? Armageddon?

 

Hackman would be on my list. Donald Sutherland probably wouldn't but I still admire his work.

 

Movies like The Sixth Sense showed his range.
