On the heels of the Studio 60 series premiere, FuerteJ and oldtony brought a subject that may have not been discussed about (then again this could be a d_b topic).

What are the best shows that were too smart for audiences? It can be anything that lasted for one year or more than one year.

The one show everyone can agree with is "SportsNight" and "Freaks and Geeks."

"Family Guy" and "Futurama" has been mentioned as well.

The floor is open for candidates. ;)

    My So-Called Life.

What did that last, two seasons? One?

    Very well-written, though.

Freaks and Geeks I'll agree with. Sports Night was so busy being smarter than everyone that it forgot to be funny.

    Sports Night was a comedy?

I assume Family Guy was a joke.
In that vein, "First and Ten"

My So-Called Life was vastly underrated since it was on MTV. I didn't know who Claire Danes was before then. I know her now. Very nice on the eyes when I was in high school when this was on. How MTV didn't see that they had a good thing is a travesty.

Of course, who couldn't get enough of Dr. Dre, Ed Lover, and Matt Pinfield?
