    Unless you're at least 45 or 50 I don't know if it's possible to appreciate how inescapable Phil Collins was in the 80s. I never considered myself a fan, I don't think I ever owned any Phil Collins solo records, and I bet if I went to one of his shows I'd know 95% of the setlist.

    Spot on, this. I was never a fan of his solo stuff aside from "Take Me Home", (funny video too) or most of what he did with Genesis but I suspect I would know every word to most of what he'd do live. Great drummer, though, and his memoir is a very good read.
