Threads like this reconfirm the basic goodness of the place.

Good luck TBF. If anyone fucks with you, you tell 'em you're an Elite Eight participant (at least).

TBF, I wish you the best of luck. I know it's been mentioned once before, but I believe I've forgotten what a longtime soldier is doing on SportsJournalists.com.

In any case, I'm glad to know that we have guys like you out there. I thought of you while watching Platoon yesterday. I can't watch Full Metal Jacket. When I was in high school, everybody said I looked like Pyle. I didn't like being compared to someone who blew his head off.

"At first, I thought that I was reading the wrong thread. I couldn't
believe they wanted this man .
I've been reading his work here for the past 3 years and it never really put a hook
in me. I couldn't connect the words with this man. Like they
said he had some impressive posts. But not many...
He was being groomed for one of the Moddy slots .

He talked about his requests for transfer to Medevac
    training in Fort Benning, Georgia.
Medevac ? He was 38 years old. Why the fuck would he do that ?

    Three Bags - good luck.

TBF, apparently Ft. Benning is a little more distant than I thought, but a road trip might be a good thing for you anyway, especially if you're leaving for the sandbox anytime soon.
