Top 5 films not to include:
    V is for Vendetta
    Bloody Sunday
    Scandal
    Sweeney Todd
    Wind that Shakes The Barley

Interesting fact: the British ALSO tag their scandals with the "-gate" suffix.

Before Watergate, I think things were termed 'scandals' or 'affairs', for example from your list The Profumo Affair the movie Scandal is about.

I want to say, from memory, that it really took hold in about the early to mid-nineties, and at that point everything became -gate.

    Diana-gate, Camilla-gate, etc.

The Daily Show did a nice job taking on Obama tonight, the DVDs, Hillary's reset button and Obama bringing in Earth Wind and Fire and Stevie Wonder to play.
"He's actually doing what we've all said we'd do if we were President. He's turning the White House into the Neverland Ranch."

To Kill a Mockingbird. There are a lot of significant black characters in that one.

And why include just Episode 4 of Star Wars? Why not throw in Empire Strikes Back (the best of the six) and Return of the Jedi?

I really hope Obama steps it up when he heads to London next month. Maybe they can dig around the American Museum of History for something suitable for Gordo and The Queen.

How this representation of great movies can be handed over with at least one of the following represented is an outrage:

    Caddyshack
    Animal House
    Slap Shot
    Fletch

Why not flip all the cards and add SJ Fav Blazing Saddles.

Why not just include the collected works of Mel Brooks? And if you're going to add one comic genius, you have to throw in Monty Python.
