Garfield Heights in suburban Cleveland did 'em one better -- they didn't even send 'em to jail!

Hey, at least their team won. And that's what counts, right?

    This truly needs Starman justice

  6. It's a fascinating story. Hopefully the local newspaper is all over it. I can think of about five or six stories to do right off the bat.

Outrageous. The school should not allow them to play football, and the judge sure as hell shouldn't let them out of jail to do it. Like W-b said, Wow.

I believe the author of the above column also co-wrote the news story. Doesn't that strike anybody as journalistically questionable on the part of the suits?

K... they plead guilty and the superintendent wants to "rescind their suspensions pending an investigation," Thompson said. "(I will) let those young men continue to play, and once the results of the investigation pan out, those consequences will be taken care of at that time."
Investigate what? They pled guilty to a felony?

Hampton's column is out-of-bounds.. they made a mistake? Sure, I'll give you that. But football isn't a right, it's a privlege.
The decision shouldn't be in the coach's hands in the first place; the judge who allowed them to play is the enabler here.

"It's for sure a white man's world in America. Look here: I raised that boy since he was the size of a piss-ant. And I'll say right now, he never learned to read and write. No, sir. Had no brains at all. Was stuffed with rice pudding between th' ears. Shortchanged by the Lord, and dumb as a jackass. Look at him now! Yes, sir, all you've gotta be is white in America, to get whatever you want."Jerzy Kosinski
