    Here's a vote for David Jones from The Patriot News in Harrisburg, Pa., the paper's Penn State writer. He's full of snark and often has some really good tidbits. Breaks news on the beat even though he's a couple hours away.

    And a damn good New Orleans Mardi Gras host.

    I second Walljasper. Nice guy and he can really write. I'll never forget what he wrote about Gary Pinkel complaining about the officiating in a close loss to an Iowa State team that was 0-7 in the Big 12 to that point.

    "If you go on Jeopardy and lose to a howler monkey, don't complain when the final Jeopardy category is 'Bananas.'"
