Guess this means the Zags have officially become a big-time program.

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) -- Gonzaga basketball players Josh Heytvelt and Theo Davis were arrested after police found marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms in their car during a traffic stop.

Get out of the 1960's, hippies.

Losing Heytfelt (15.5 points per game, 7.7 rpg, 53.7 percent shooting) will really hurt them. This certainly isn't the same Zags team as in years past, and this is going to hurt them even more.

Guess ESPN should have plenty to talk about when they broadcast the Zags (again) on Monday night.

I am not sure they will kick they player off their team. It clearly was a huge mistake but I could see both getting suspended for some time but somehow I don't think they will be booted.

Both are currently suspended "indefinitely." Which means nothing.

Guess we know why they're called the Zags now...

Pot's one thing, but 'shrooms, during the season, is way uncool.

  9. Probably got nothing else to do ... have you ever been to Spokane? :D

No, but I've spent time with people who've smoked pot and done shrooms (wink)

  11. I can state categorically that, ahem, this is not necessarily true.

Personally, I was hoping Micah Downs would have been one of the kids arrested. No dice.
