I was amused when, last time I was in the Subway, the woman said, "You want to make it a foot long for $5?"

The last time I was asked to pull forward at a McDonald's, I was rewarded with two apple pies. Oh, they were so delicious.

The people who run my neighborhood Subway are a family of very polite Pakistani men. They always take care of me, and run an efficient three-man weave so there is no delays.

I hate em, too, KY. But they're ALWAYS on.

And Mikey, same for me. If they ever ask people to pull forward, they are rewarded with a bounty of pies.

I was surprised by the action. I wasn't in a hurry, and I generally don't ever expect any special treatment. It was a great gesture.

  11. Y'all must live in the same town. I've never been given a free pie at McD's.

I've never been given a free anything at McDonald's that I can remember.

I once got a free meal at Pizza Hut because I happened to talk to the mother of one of its employees when I was riding the bus.
