horseshit. If you can't sell out when tickets can be had for less than 20 bucks, you are not a hockey market

From what I've heard, the Coyotes aren't the only NHL team getting money from the league.

Welcome to the 21st Century. Many, possibly most, of all "major league" sports franchises pay no (zero) rent to their host arenas -- or, better yet, collect inverse rent -- the landlords pay them to play there.

Guess Boston's not a hockey market either.

What's Bostons average ticket price? How much revenue is generated by the Bruins ticket sales and how much is generated by the Coyotes?
Boston has a long history of hockey fans not just at the NHL level.

Any franchise that has an arena in the middle of the city, has a bar called Sullivan's next door and can lay claim to the greatest hockey player of all time is an NHL market.

Um, I never played in Boston.

    Just kidding. :D

Could the Yotes move back to Winnipeg and solve this whole mess?

Or would that cause the NHL to lose face by making Bettman's attempt to force people in the Sun Belt to like hockey look like a failure? (even though everyone except Bettman himself realizes that train left the station about 10 years ago).

This is as bad as the "baseball needs a salary cap" argument.

Winnipeg is not getting another NHL franchise any time soon.

    It's. Not. Gonna. Happen.
