I just threw up in my mouth after reading this (and I'm a big wrestling fan). They can forget about anybody looking at this show as a legitimate athletic competition anymore. And the whole thing in a press release I read about how contenders will face "villanous" Gladiators... What, are they going to spray Pam on the handholds on the Wall? Maybe throw salt in the eyes of the contenders during Hang Tough?

 

I'm expecting a Gladiator to run from the curtain, hit a competitor over the back with a steel chair while the ref isn't looking, then run off while the competing Gladiator easily wins.

 

Mean Gene was great. His interviews with Jimmy Hart are fabulous.

 

This guy's gladiator name will be Axis

 

When did anybody consider the original a legitmate athletic competition?

 

Isn't Hulk Hogan hosting this show?

Storm was my favourite one....

 

All I know is that I smiled a little when I saw the previews last night for American Gladiators on NBC.

 

I love how this thread keeps popping up. I smile when I see it.

When at the gladiators competing?

 

I think the season begins January 6th.
