Too many schaefers and it all blends together. Was that same year that Bobby Knight took army pretty far in tournament

See, this is why we're never going to an Outing...I'll be singing Gimme Shelter on the bar, and all our friends will still be talking to Boom about best place to pee in the Garden.

I have a strong desire to see that for some reason.

I'm not sure about in the film itself (which is sad, because I've probably seen it 100 times), but it was very prominent in the theatrical trailer. I was never much of a Stones fan, and got the Casino DVD in college and watched the trailer. First time I'd heard "Gimme Shelter". I bet I watched the trailer 10 times just to hear the song.

I've never done it, but all this Schaefer reminiscing makes me want to go to Manhattan, find one of those bars that's lit in all red Christmas lights, throw down a few Schaefer's with Boom and Spaceman, and put the entirety of Let It Bleed on the jukebox.

MSG circa '75 seems a lot like the way I remember the Milwaukee Arena of the 70s, sans psychedelic hardwood of course.

    Yeah, Schaefer beer.... mmmmmmmmmmm .

And the red Christmas lights. Damn. There's NOTHING like an NYC bar all decked out in that plastic snow with "MERRY XMAS" written on the mirror behind the bar. And they slap a big red bow on the gallon jar of pig's knuckles.

Bubbler, just say when, bro, and we're there.

Bubbler - other than a night on the town with 21, I could not think of a more entertaining evening than knocking back a few Shaeffer's with you and Spaceman at some of NY's finer establishments. We might even have to search out a few Rheingold Extra's drys to make trip down memory lane complete.

If you're talking NIT at MSG, don't forget the ECAC tournament each December.

It used to be my birthday gift -- got to see Bob Lanier with St. Bonny's, Artis Gilmore with the world's largest Afro and the hippest college team (Jacksonville) and Rick Mount and Purdue.

  9. Hey, Boom. Can I come and have some Schaefer's too, if I promise to do my Fred Caposella imitation from the Schaefer Circle of Sports?

Always brings to mind Robert Klein's great imitation of him ordering dinner on the LP "Mind Over Matter" -- "I have the peas on the outside, [other stuff I forget] and an apple pie bringing up the rear."

21 agrees to do the Schaefer's endorsement if only to get Boom's attention...
