Jesus Christ. Of course he cast his wife in a main role. OF COURSE he did. She can't fucking act, Rob.

Even Springsteen thinks Zombie's nepotism is cringe.

    What day is it?

    It's today, squeaked Piglet.

My favorite day ... to go on a slashing spree, said Pooh.

The long-delayed Indiana Jones 5 comes out next summer. Really hoping it's a great movie and a fitting finale for Harrison Ford.

Regardless, the music of John Williams is always worth the price of admission. He introduced a piece from the flick and talked about Phoebe Waller-Bridge's character a little bit:

It really says something about the movie business that Top Gun Maverick won both the Memorial Day Weekend Box office AND the Labor Day box office. Pretty sure it says more about the shaky future of movie theaters and less about the film's greatness (though it was a really good movie - I just don't think people are going to go to movies as much when they can have a similar or better experience via home screen and audio.

Eh, nothing new opened except for a movie that also got dumped on Peacock at the same time. TGM, Spiderman and Bullet Train all took home roughly $6M. It was only last year that Shang-Chi opened with $75M on Labor Day weekend, so I kind of view it more as a lack of inventory from Covid delays finally catching up with studios here.

Horror-Pooh just looks flabby. If it was sharp and funny as well as horrific, maybe. It just looks like they're depending on anticipated shock to carry it. Nyet.

The Munsters? Before Julie vs. Eartha vs. Lee, Ginger vs Mary Anne, Gilda versus Larraine, and Madonna versus Cyndi, there was Lily and her family versus Morticia and hers. Team Morticia and Gomez here. Munsters? Especially those Munsters? Nein.

Edited to add: Oh. God. Yes! To another Knives Out joint.
