    Here's an actual lead to a story on the AP Wire.

    "CHICAGO — If gays want to play flag football or darts, Chicago is the place to be. If they are looking to see how they measure up against the best gay handball players or are looking for a rousing game of bridge, Montreal is the spot."

    Gay handball players. I wonder if they took any photos of that.

    Seriously? I know the gay games story probably wasn't at the top of anyone's wish list, but damn.

    I don't know anything about the gay games, but I believe they once held the "run, catch and throw like a girl" Olympics in Chicago. John Belushi won most of the events.

    A friend of mine is in the Gay Games. Has competed many times in the past, playing soccer. Once won a gold medal, even.
    The one thing that I asked him about the competition was this: How do they know if you're gay?
    And the thing is, they don't. If you're a hetero willing to play, they're happy to have you.
    I think that's pretty cool.
