Gary Smith on Cliff Lee

    Good Gary Smith story in last week's SI on Cliff Lee. Interesting that is was less about Lee and more about Phillie fan bond with this current team.

    Wonder if Lee did not provide Smith with much access and he had to use Phillie fan angle to fill in story.

    In reading I could not help but think how The Yankees have lost touch with their core fan base since moving into the new stadium. The '95 - 2000 Yankee teams in old stadium remind me of where the Phillies are now.
