One of those rare cases where the "victims" deserved no sympathy.

Just watched the Hulu documentary on this.

Yeah, it's entertaining to watch these clowns get conned by fucking Ja Rule.

That Hulu doc really went in on Billy McFarland and well deserved too.

His girlfriend must be the biggest mark on earth to associate with such a scumbag.

I almost lost it when the guy told the story of McFarland asking him to blow the guy that runs customs so they could get their cases of water. And he went to do it! That's some serious mind control.

OK, I’m going to watch one of them: Which is better?

The Netflix one is less of a demand on your time. I haven’t watched the Hulu one yet.

One runs 97 minutes, the other runs 95 minutes so depending on your schedule that two minute gap could be a big deal

Watch them both, they are different in a lot of ways. Hulu's tends to focus on the sheer absurdity and comedy of it. They paid for a McFarland interview to emphasize the fact that this guy is so full of shit it's a wonder how anyone fell for his stories.

The Netflix one is produced by some of the FuckJerry guys that were part of the Fyre promotion so there's a bit of a CYA. There is a lot more audio documentation and they did focus on the real victims IMO -- which were the workers on the island that were just trying to do work in good faith and got nothing for their efforts.

Thought they were longer episodes, my bad.

Give yourself three hours and check both out. Hulu one is going to make you laugh. Netflix one might make you a little angry.

Billy McFarland and Ja Rule are total shitheads in both of them. The Netflix one reminds you that Ja Rule is a shithead and also a fucking idiot.
