Lost in Dowd Plagerism scandal last week was Tom Friedman being forced by the Times to give back a $75,000 speakers fee.

Another example of how funny it is that Friedman tells the rest of us how to live.

I find it amusing and appropriate that the was done by the LAT Entertainment reporter.

It does touch upon Barkley's days with the Blues.

You realize this story is two weeks old, right?

Sure but I did not realize there was a shelf life to when stories could be posted.

Guess the NY Times Ombudsman did not realize either since much of his column was devoted to it yesterday.

I work for an NYT paper. We have been hit with pay cuts and layoffs while Friedman makes the big bucks. Then he has to play loose with the ethics rules. Glad he got caught.

Friedman must not know Jeff Jarvis (crossthreading).

Disconcerting, but not nearly as egregious as Dowd.

Seems to be quite the speciality at the Times.
