Friday night lights go out in Hawaii

    In Hawaii the first East Coast games kick off at 5 a.m. local time and go until the West Coast night games end about 7 p.m., then the Warriors kick off (if at home for a night game.) (Shift everything ahead an hour when DST ends, because Hawaii stays on Standard Time.)

    Sorry, human fought their way to the top of the food chain thousands of years ago. Not giving in to the birds now. There are plenty of places on earth for birds --- and turtles, for that matter -- to hang on with nary a stadium in sight.

    A lot. I've heard HS administrators say playing games on Saturday instead of Friday can cost them $30k+ a season in gate/concession revenues due to smaller crowds.

    In our neck of the woods, HS basketball teams play a F/Sa schedule. The Friday games draw near-capacity crowds. The Saturday games draw flies.
