The USGA is seeking a freelance writer to cover a U.S. Open 36-hole sectional qualifier on June 3 at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md. The assignment would include writing a 750-word AP-style recap of the qualifier, as well as providing email updates from the qualifier throughout the day to be used on Twitter and Facebook pages. Compensation is $400.

Interested writers should email David Shefter at dshefter@usga.org.
